The Medici Pope and his Town, Exhibition in Florence
At the Museum of the Medici Chapels, an exhibition that focuses on the Florentine Pope Leo X, originally named Giovanni, son of Lorenzo the Magnificent. He was elected Pope on 9 March 1513.
The exhibitions celebrates the 500th anniversary of this election, and illustrates the life and history of Leo X and of his relationship with Florence.
