The Alinari Museum of Photography in Florence
The Alinari National Museum of Photography (MNAF), hosted in the historic building of the San Paolo Hospital in Santa Maria Novella Square, re-opens in June 2014 after a long restoration.
The Alinari Museum is one of the most important museums dedicated to the history of photography. The museum is named after the Alinari brothers who opened in Florence in 1852 the first company in the field of photography, image and communication.
The Alinari Museum displays works of the most important photographers of 1800 and 1900, and always hosts great exhibitions of contemporary photography.
