Baroque Ivories Exhibition at Pitti Palace in Florence
At the Museum of Silver at Pitti Palace in Florence, there's an exhibition of ivory objects and works of art collected in the years by the Medici dinasty.
In particular Ferdinand I de’ Medici was a true passionate of ivory and his collection reached hundreds of pieces. For the fist time ion Florence an exhibition entirely dedicated to ivory objects, its title is "Diaphanous passions. Baroque Ivories from the European courts" which underlines the fact the the Medici passion influenced many European Courts, mainly in the Baroque period.
